The Furnace Room is our prayer meeting.

When Charles Haddon Spurgeon, the great English preacher of the 19th Century, was asked about the success of his ministry, he took people down to the church basement, wanting to show them the Furnace Room. When he opened the door, there were hundreds of people praying!

That's what we want to do each Wednesday night at 6:00pm in the CBC Fellowship Hall! "That's dinner time!" We know, many of us fast that evening as we come to prayer as well.

Mr. Spurgeon said, "The act of prayer is blessed, the habit of prayer is more blessed, but the spirit of prayer is the most blessed of all; and it is this that we can continue for months and years."
